WHO ARE WE?
AEAD
AEAD ( in English, Evangelistic Association for Social Development) is a non-profitable NGO that works to improve the living conditions of people in Burkina Faso, through the love of God.
AEAD was founded in 1992 by pastor Philippe OUEDRAOGO and his wife Josephine. In April of 1992, AEAD was officially recognised as a developmental organisation and is a permanent member of SPONG (Sécretariat Permament des Organisations Non Gouvernementales).
The main activities in which AEAD is involved are:

The Director
Philippe OUEDRAOGO is a Burkinabé born on the 25th October, 1954. He studied theology in Burkina Faso and at the University of Mattersey Hall near Doncaster in United Kingdom. He also holds a master degree from New Covenant International ( Florida) and he is currently a PhD research student with the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (University of Wales), reading girl’s education. He is the Senior pastor of the church of Boulmiougou and the current president of AEAD.
Philippe OUEDRAOGO is married and has three children Daniel, Muriel et Stéphane.
He has worked with AEAD since its conception, and he is a man who believes in fighting for the well being of people everywhere.

Geographical situation of Burkina Faso
Situated in West Africa, Burkina Faso is a landlocked country, bordered to the south by Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin , to the East by the Niger and the West and North by Mali. Previously known by the name of Upper Volta, since 1992 Burkina Faso has been a democratically elected presidential republic and peace, security and political stability have prevailed. The most recent figures available (July 2006, CIA World Factbook) state a population of 13 million + inhabitants of whom 45% are living below the UN stated poverty line, making Burkina Faso one of the world’s poorest countries.
