Training School for Leaders

Since its beginnings, AEAD has operated a Leadership Training School.  Group leaders are trained to assume spiritual and social responsibilities within the church and society at large.  The school is coordinated by Job BAMOGO under the supervision of pastor Philippe OUEDRAOGO, the president of AEAD.

The school delivers a two year course and successful candidates benefit from an end of course certificate accredited by the University of New Covenant International, based in Florida, USA.

The Leadership Training School and its programme, makes sure that students put into practice what they have learnt and to compliment this, practical assignments are undertaken in different towns and villages throughout Burkina Faso.

One of the major concerns of AEAD is the establishment of a library in order to better equip teachers and students.

The main activities that AEAD carries out in this field are

School of Literacy Training

AEAD operates many adult literacy centres, offering training in French and in the national language Moore (pronounced moor-ay).  The centres, 37 in all, are situated in several regions within Burkina Faso, namely Kadiogo, Boukiendé, Zondoma, Sounou, Yatenga and Loroum. They accept male and female candidates of all adult ages. The training is conducted by qualified volunteers and enables greater numbers of the population to learn how to read and write in French and Moore. Many people continue to benefit from this training.  Indeed, some have become trainers in their own right.

As with any other schools, the literacy centres experience problems with supply of teaching materials.

AEAD is always willing to establish partnerships with organisations who have a common vision in this field and  who can help us to achieve our goals which are, namely,  to :

Conferences and Seminars

AEAD organises regular seminars and conferences concerning spiritual, social and heath themes in order to educate, inform and equip the population according to their needs and their interests.  Themes like poverty, HIV/AIDS, prayer and family well being are commonly dealt with.

AEAD is always looking for partners who are interested in and willing to help with the organising of such conferences and seminars.

Children Camps

AEAD has a children’s department, which has  organised a summer camp for the children every year since 1995.  The camp is for children and youth and offers mix of fun and entertainment, as well as informing the incumbents of current affairs affecting their society, in a way they can relate to.  The camps are open to young people both from in the cities and from outside.

The Children’s department makes donations to disadvantaged children, street children and orphans throughout the year, especially during festive seasons.  AEAD believes that it is important that young people do not lose out simply due to lack of means.  As such, AEAD values your support in this area
